Elipson adds W35 loudspeaker to Planet series
Building on its eye-catching spherical-shaped loudspeaker designs, French company Elipson has unveiled the latest addition to its distinctive Planet speaker series with the W35. Embracing the world of wireless, it’s equipped with Bluetooth aptX and wi-fi as well as being multi-room compatible.
The 350mm diameter sphere is clad with cloth frames either side of a central band that accommodates function controls for on/off, source, mute and up/down volume on the front of the speaker, while inputs for wired connections are at the back and include a 3.5mm analogue socket, optical digital and a USB port for charging and software updates. Employing two 165mm mid/bass drivers and two 25mm tweeters, all are driven by the built-in digital amp rated at 350W power output.
