EarMen introduces Colibri on-the-go DAC
Portable audio specialist EarMen has introduced a new balanced, battery-powered device – the Colibri, a pocket-friendly USB DAC, preamp and headphone amp.
Featuring a fully balanced 4.4mm output, the Colibri has its own battery so it won’t consume power from the sound source. It comes with a gold-plated PCB and a full set of buttons on its side offering audio control while on the go. Compatible with Apple and Android mobile devices, it’s housed in a stylish CnC-milled aluminium block with both sides glass surfaced.
Colibri supports hi-res PCM files up to 32-bit/384kHz, DoP, up to DSD128 and MQA. It measures 77 x 14 x 35mm (WxHxD), weighs 51g and boasts a claimed battery life of up to five hours per charge.
EarMen's Colibri is available to buy now for £289 and you can find out more about it here.
