Marantz debuts MODEL 40n integrated amplifier

Marantz has introduced its MODEL 40n integrated amplifier with a new 70W per channel (into 8ohm loads) Class A/B amplifier stage. A larger power supply transformer, four output transistors per channel, heavy copper bus bars and short power pathways are intended to lower internal impedance and deliver high instant current capability: “making the MODEL 40n highly dynamic and an excellent match even for difficult-to-drive loudspeakers”.

The MODEL 40n integrated offers compatibility with PCM files up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD128. It also features built-in access to Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, Tidal and TuneIn internet radio, while wireless connectivity options include Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and wi-fi – with HEOS for multi-room applications.

The MODEL 40n offers a full complement of analogue and digital inputs, including Marantz Musical Phono EQ – a moving-magnet phono stage – for vinyl playback. It also features an HDMI ARC input, making audio playback from a TV possible, and a dedicated subwoofer out with crossover adjustments.

It comes with a remote control and works with Siri, Alexa and Google voice command. The new integrated is available in a choice of two finishes: Marantz Black and Silver Gold.

Available to buy now for £2,200, you can find out more about Marantz's MODEL 40N here.
