March issue now on sale

Welcome to the March issue
The inspiration for this month’s Group Test came on New Year’s Eve when the conversation about intended resolutions among family and friends took an unusual twist away from the customary goals of giving up the booze, going to the gym, climbing a mountain, learning a new language etc. to being happier and trying to ignore the prevalence of negativity all around us. So it occurred to me – now nicknamed Sunny Steve – that, as there are times when it seems the only world worth living in is your own, it would be fitting to look at wireless noise-cancelling cans to help you disappear into your own headspace and get blissfully lost in the opera, podcast or R&B playlist of your choice. As David Vivian notes: “If we accept that the direction of convergence tech travel is signposted by the rise of, say, the smartwatch, perhaps it isn’t unreasonable of today’s on-trend music lovers to expect an all-singing hi-fi system to come in a zip-up pouch... for some, it’s the only stereo kit they’ll ever need.” All at £350 or under, there’s surely bound to be a model that suits your needs and takes your fancy. Elsewhere you’ll find sage advice on decluttering your record collection, insight into the reel-to-reel tape revival and news about a fantastic array of new products just on the market. What’s not to like?

Enjoy!
