Perlisten unveils R Series loudspeakers
Also in the ‘R’ series are the three-way R5t tower (with two 165mm bass drivers and 89dB sensitivity), a matching R5c centre for home cinemas, the standmount R5m (again two 165mm bass drivers and quoted 89dB sensitivity), a three-way R4s (with a single 165mm bass driver and 86.5dB sensitivity claimed) and the £1,600 bookshelf R4b with just the one 165mm bass driver and sensitivity quoted at 84.6dB.
The bass drivers are made from the company’s proprietary HPF (Hybrid Pulp Formulation) cone material – a new cone formulation comprised of mixed long fibre hardwood, bamboo and wool. Its strength, mass and damping have been used in a bid to ensure detailed, full-range response without colouration. The drivers can be aligned as either bass reflex or acoustic suspension, depending upon the listener’s tastes or application.
R Series designs are available in a piano black finish, with piano white available soon.
Distributed in the UK by Karma AV, you can find out more about the R Series here.
