Audio-Technica limited-edition slipmat for Ukraine
A-T told HFC: “The current events in Ukraine made Eugene look for expression in new forms, trying to connect people around the world and raise awareness about some of Ukraine’s iconic symbols — a blue/yellow palette of colours and flowers, representing peace and life. At the beginning of the war, Eugene’s Reddit post on ‘How do I prepare for a war?’ went viral, receiving thousands of comments and shares. Since then, he has also posted an acclaimed diary, which captures the harrowing updates from the invasion. For almost a decade Eugene has been mixing his lettering with traditional and digital expressive art. His mandala-like art pieces come from a long period of researching European and Arabic calligraphy and now he’s trying to bring these classical ideas into modern mediums, from old vinyl records to skateboards and mirrors.”
The 12in slipmat is 2mm thick (+/-0.5mm) and made from medium-density felt. It is glazed on the printed side, providing extra slip and rigidity while remaining smooth.
