Polk drops MagniFi Mini AX soundbar

Polk Audio has introduced a new soundbar system, the MagniFi Mini AX, that comes with immersive audio playback via Dolby Atmos and DTS:X built-in, optimised through Polk’s patented SDA technology. The MagniFi Mini AX soundbar boasts a sleek 37cm-wide design and is equipped with an advanced five-speaker array and a wireless down-firing subwoofer, which means – or so the company claims – it: “provides deep bass, detailed highs and an expansive 3D soundstage rivalling much larger soundbars”.

The MagniFi Mini AX has been designed to “immersify” stereo music via a 3D Audio Mode, which upmixes the audio to 360° virtual surround sound, including virtual height channels. It will stream music from your phone, tablet or computer over wi-fi and Bluetooth with Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and Spotify Connect also included.

Movie and Music Modes tailor the soundbar’s performance to your content, and if you’re using it to watch your TV into the early hours, Night Mode simultaneously increases the dialogue while decreasing the bass.

The MagniFi Mini AX soundbar system has been designed with easy setup in mind. Its one-cable connection is compatible with any TV via HDMI eARC/ARC (HDMI cable included), optical, or AUX-in. An OLED display shows settings and disappears when not in use. It comes with a remote handset, works with most TV remotes out of the box and is Roku TV Ready for even easier setup and operation.

Available to buy now for £429, you can find out more about Polk's MagniFi Mini AX soundbar here.
