Sony adds NW-A306 to Walkman range
The body is milled from premium aluminium and utilises S-Master HX digital amp technology, which has been independently developed for Walkman and is compatible with the native DSD format. The company claims that this: “reduces distortion and noise across a wide range of frequencies for rich and full-bodied sound, further enhanced by new high-quality sound lead-free solder.
The NW-A306 claims 36 hours of battery life and uses Edge-AI (Artificial Intelligence) and DSEE Ultimate (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) with a view to upscaling compressed digital music files to higher quality. Sony claims that the evolving algorithm: “now delivers even greater benefits for CD-quality (16-bit/48kHz) lossless codec audio. Restoring acoustic subtleties and dynamic range provides a richer, more complete listening experience.”
Available to buy now for £350, you can find out more about the Sony NW-A306 Walkman here .
