Mission unveils new ZX series
Building on the success of its QX Series (the QX-2 standmount was reviewed in HFC 436 and the QX-3 floorstander in HFC 447), Mission has introduced a new flagship range. The ZX Series carries forward elements from QX adding new drive units, motor systems and crossover networks, in a new curved cabinet.
The £600 two-way ZX-1 standmount features the new 38mm Ring Dome tweeter paired with a 130mm DiaDrive mid/bass unit. The £750 ZX-2 is also a two-way standmount and features the same tweeter but positioned between two 130mm DiaDrives. The £1,100 two-way ZX-3 floorstander (pictured) shares the same drivers as the ZX-2, but increases sensitivity from 89dB to 90dB. The £1,300 ZX-4 is a three-way floorstander with 38mm Ring Dome tweeter, two 130mm DiaDrive drivers for bass and one for midrange duties, and the £1,600 ZX-5 mirrors the midrange setup, but with two 165mm DiaDrive units for bass.
Mission’s ZX series is available to buy now and you can find out more here.
